BitterCreek - Review
I am so pleased that I was finally able to make an order from BitterCreek! They are one of the main suppliers in the USA that I simply had not got around to trying ... and I am so glad that I did! The fragrances listed below are from my very first order ever from Bittercreek. I was SO impressed that I immediately re-ordered!!! The customer service is top notch too ... I'd not calculated my discount for purchasing over a certain number of 16oz bottles, but Doneen St John (customer services) emailed me to let me know I'd saved some money!
Bittercreek are a terrific all round supplier. They stock everything from waxes and wicks, dyes and fragrances to packaging, molds, containers and more! I am waiting for a mold order to arrive (airmail can be SO slow!), but meanwhile these are the fragrances I have tried!
CK1 - This is an excellent copy of the popular unisex Calvin Klein fragrance. I found that when I poured it initially it had a slight chemical smell to it.... the first burn I did with it had the same chemical smell, but the votives that I had left 2-3 days to "cure" before lighting had lost that scent and simply smelled wonderful!! You will need to be patient with this scent and allow it to fully cure... but it is worth the wait!!
Dewberry - A mixture of mulberry and honeydew - mmmmm.
Drakkar - WOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!! Oh my word ... this smells like a sexy man!!! There's no other description!!! Ladies, you know when a man walks past you and you get a whiff of his aftershave and you think damn he smells soooooo good??? Well that's what this smells like!!!!!! It's ... WOW definitely getting this one!!! Hahahaaa It's soap and lotion safe too ... gonna make my man some serious smellies in this scent!!!! Can you tell I love it!!
Green Apple - a very true, crisp green apple scent.
Gift Basket - I had trouble pinning this one down!! I can definitely imagine it as what a gift basket laden with goodies smells like. It's a kinda lightly spiced fruity floral!
Leather - What can you say!!! It's leather!! This really does smell just like real leather!
Oatmeal, Milk & Honey - I got this one to test in soaps. It is quite heavy on the oatmeal for my nose, but I think it will work great in soap!
Nag Champa - I'd heard SO much about this scent and decided I needed to try it!! It's phenomenal!!! It is a very definite incense scent. It's close to a sandalwood type fragrance, but there is more in there than sandalwood. This one is definitely going on my stock list!!!
Purely Herbal - This is a beautiful herbal scent with just the right floral tones. If you have smelled "Herbal Essences" shampoo then you know what this smells like!! A lovely fragrance with a great throw!!
