Read my reviews
Dear CandlemakerUpdated 14th September 2001

Welcome to the regularly updated candlemaking.org.uk where
you will find absolutely everything you need to get you
making candles!

I regret that until further notice I am NOT AVAILABLE to answer email queries from visitors to this website.

I am in the process of moving house in order to relocate my business and with the busy season rapidly approaching after the move, I will be able to answer your questions again after Christmas. If you need help then come and join the candlemaking group I run through the internet. Any email questions received will unfortunately be deleted without answer.

Please remember that while I will always do my very best to help visitors out, there are literally thousands of you and just one of lil ol' me! You can read a little bit more about me here - so please remember that I have two very small children at home plus I run a business from home, maintain several large websites, run one of the biggest candlemaking groups on the net ... ohh and I need to find time to breathe too!!!

This is a FREE resource that I provide and it is the largest collection of candlemaking information available anywhere on the internet, so if you enjoy your visit and learn a lot, you can repay the favour by using the suppliers I recommend (tell them Dee from the Essential Survival Guide sent you!) and also by buying your candlemaking books from my online bookshop in association with Amazon.com. I receive a small amount as a referral fee for each book purchased through my links. It helps to cover the cost of maintaining this website and keeps it free for you. Your continued support of this free resource is greatly appreciated!!

From Dee

Candlemaking Basics

All the articles a newbie will need are now all grouped together in their very own home instead of being scattered all over the site! If you are new to making candles, this is where you want to start!

Updated Links

The links page has been completely re-vamped with the addition of many new links. You can now also find places to buy soap supplies, baskets, lotion bottles, packaging, labels and all manner of products to compliment your candles as well as links to other business resources and more!

Supplier Reviews

The good, the great and the really kick butt scents for your candles!! Read my thoughts on the fragrances I have used from different suppliers on the internet.

Business Resources

All the articles about turning your hobby into a business have now been rehomed in one easy to navigate section. Includes articles on how to cope with working from home, attending craft shows and much much more.

Candle Parties

After trying candle parties myself in 2000 with phenomenal success, I have now created a resource for you to learn about doing them yourself! If you sell your candles this is a great way to maximise your earnings with direct selling.

Gel Candle Making

This section has been completely revised and broken down into sub-sections for ease of navigation. Many new contributed project ideas for gel candles

More projects

More project ideas have been added to this section of the site including a new guide to making hurricane candle shells (Thanks to LadyCHB for help with the directions!)
